New Delhi:
Parle-G, the cookie known to be the common man’s companion to tea, has become a hot topic after making record sales in the coronavirus era. Many on Twitter hailed the news and posted stories about the Parle-G cookies.
Actor Randeep Hooda tweeted: “My whole career has been fueled by the cellar and the G-Speak since the days of the theater. Can you imagine how much less single-use plastic waste there would be if only G-Talk changed its packaging in an alternative biodegradable material? Now the sales are on the rise, let’s also see the contribution to a better future. “

Environmentalists and activists, including Afroz Shah, retweeted his message and said the company should move towards environmentally friendly packaging.
The Parle-G cookies, lost in the crowd of fashionable brands and variations, suddenly became popular during the three-month shutdown of the coronavirus. The cookies, with their yellow packaging familiar with the image of a smiling toddler, were bought in bulk by non-profit groups and people distributing food parcels to migrants on their way to their villages. The company also announced that it would donate three packs of Parle-G cookie crore when the pandemic escalates in India, according to a PTI report.
Twitter users have been sharing their Talk-G moments since yesterday. The universal theme – it’s more than cookie. The cookie has been described by many as an “emotion”, a “childhood memory”.
#ParleG is not a cookie, it is an emotion.

Many were delighted that the company, which had suffered losses in recent years, had posted the best sales in years.
“The growth has been phenomenal and, as a result, Parle has been able to increase its market share by 4.5 to 5% during the foreclosure,” senior company official Mayank Shah told Press Trust of India.
Speaks, using his Twitter nickname, thanked people by calling him “ Bharat ka apna biscuit (the Indian cookie).
