Actress Taapsee Pannu in a last Instagram post titled Film 2019 Saand Ki Aankh his “first greatest experience of his career” and added that “the beginner’s luck worked” for the film. In his article, Taapsee listed the “many firsts” of this film and wrote: “The first attempt at Saand Ki Aankh. The first greatest experience of my career, the first time that the director (our most enthused teddy bear) Tushar Hiranandani, the first producer Nidhi Parmar and probably the first time that two female actors at the top of their career decided to represent twice their age to share equal screen space in a story never told before! Too many firsts in this one and I guess the beginner’s luck has worked. Too many stories and memories attached to it. “
Saand Ki Aankh is based on the lives of snipers Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, who are arguably the oldest snipers in the country and have participated in over 30 national championships. Taapsee Pannu played Prakashi Tomar while actress Bhumi Pednekar played Chandro Tomar.
