On Wednesday, the Supreme Court refused to interfere with an order from the Allahabad High Court authorizing the government of Uttar Pradesh to continue the selection process for the recruitment of 69,000 assistant teachers in public schools.
The request for special authorization (SLP) filed by the petitioner Amita Tripathi had challenged the order of the Lucknow division bench of the Allahabad High Court in this case.
A bench of judges Hemant Gupta and Aniruddha Bose refused to interfere with the order which suspended the previous June 3 order of a single bench interrupting the selection process.
The division bench, composed of Justices PK Jaiswal and DK Singh, said on June 12 that the state government could continue the selection process, keeping in mind the June 9 order of the Supreme Court by which approximately 37,000 positions have been kept for Siksha Mitras.
On June 3, a single judge court of the High Court suspended the teacher appointment process and ordered the petitioners to submit their objections to the state government, after which they would be sent to the University Grants Commission for opinion. ‘expert.
The petition challenged the teacher appointment process and claimed that some candidates had raised objections to the questions of the selection exam.
