The flight aborted on Saturday would have been the third launch of SpaceX’s Starlink satellite in less than 2 months

Washington:

SpaceX delayed the launch of a rocket on Saturday due to the routing of 57 mini-satellites into space as part of the plan to build a global broadband Internet system in orbit.

The company tweeted that it was postponing the 10th Starlink mission “in order to give the cashiers more time”. He said he was trying to identify a new launch window.

The mission had been postponed previously.

The Falcon 9 rocket carrying the satellites was also to carry two satellites of BlackSky, a SpaceX customer.

The flight aborted on Saturday would have been the third launch of SpaceX’s Starlink satellite in less than two months.

California-based Elon Musk has so far received US authorization to launch 12,000 satellites into several different orbits, and has requested to launch up to 30,000 more.

SpaceX’s objective is to control a huge part of the future Internet market from space.

Several competitors have the same ambition, including the London startup OneWeb and the American retail giant Amazon, whose Project Kuiper is much less advanced.
