The SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavor crashed in the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday afternoon after re-entering Earth’s atmosphere and deploying its parachutes without any problem.
Pilot Doug Hurley, one of the two astronauts on board, said, “It is truly our honor and our privilege” as radio communications became choppy and cut off.
It was the first water landing of an American spacecraft since the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission.
