On Tuesday, the United States urged North Korea to avoid further “counterproductive” measures after blowing up a liaison office on the border with the South.
“The United States fully supports the efforts of the Republic of Korea on inter-Korean relations and urges the DPRK to refrain from any other counterproductive action,” said a spokesman for the State Department, referring to South and North by their official names.
