Adelaide, Australia:

The state of South Australia announced a six-day “circuit breaker” lockdown on Wednesday from midnight, as authorities rushed to contain a sudden cluster of coronavirus in the city of Adelaide.

Schools, restaurants and factories have been asked to close as stay-at-home orders issued to residents of the state, after a cluster of 22 cases began at a hotel used to quarantine overseas travelers.

“We are going hard and we are going early. Time is running out and we must act quickly and decisively. We are eager to see how badly things go,” Prime Minister Steven Marshall said.
