Last week, a terrorist, who killed a CRPF jawan and a six-year-old boy in Jammu and Kashmir in Anantnag on June 26, was shot dead during a meeting in Srinagar.
Security personnel had launched a search for Zahid Dass since he managed to escape on June 26. A CRPF jawan was also killed in the line of duty during the meeting in Srinagar.
Forty-eight terrorists were killed last month in separate meetings.
Last month, J&K police chief Dilbag Singh said more than 100 terrorists had been killed this year. “In the past five and a half months, more than 100 terrorists have been neutralized, including more than 50 from Hizbul Mujahideen, twenty from Lashkar-e-Taiba, 20 from Jaish-e-Mohammed and the rest of small outfits like Al-Badr, Ansar Gazwatul Hind, “said Mr. Singh.
