An SIT set up to investigate the Kanpur ambush in which eight police officers were killed by Vikas Dubey and his henchmen, asked for information about the gangster’s criminal history, including his alleged collusion with various authorities .

Dubey was killed in a July 10 encounter after a police vehicle transporting him from Ujjain to Kanpur encountered an accident and he attempted to escape from the location in the Bhaunti area of Kanpur.
