Foreign Minister S Jaishankar signed the book of condolences at the Bahraini Embassy expressing his deep sorrow at the death of Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain.
Mr. Jaishankar said that as the longest-serving prime minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has made an immense contribution to the development and promotion of bilateral relations between India and Bahrain.
“We signed the book of condolences in Bahrain Emb IN, expressing our deep sorrow at the passing of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, late PM of Bahrain and true friend of India,” Jaishankar tweeted.
“As the longest serving Prime Minister, he made an immense contribution to the development of Bahrain and the promotion of India-Bahrain bilateral relations. He will be well remembered for taking such great care of the Indian community in Bahrain,” he said. he said in another tweet.
The world‘s oldest prime minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa of Bahrain, has died at the age of 84. Khalifa, who took office after Bahrain’s independence in 1971, was being treated in an American hospital.
