New Delhi:
Rishi Kapoor was the heart and soul of every Kapoor meeting. The veteran actor died in Mumbai on April 30 after battling cancer for two years. Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima and his wife Neetu Kapoor are often remembered by the actor in emotional posts and Riddhima shared such a heartbreaking note this Diwali. “I miss you, dad,” she captioned a throwback photo from last year, in which she appears with both parents. Rishi Kapoor, Neetu and Riddhima were clicked outside of Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali party, which was held in Jalsa. Rishi Kapoor returned to Mumbai in September of the same year after spending nearly a year in New York seeking treatment.
Remembering Rishi Kapoor, here’s what Riddhima shared on his Instagram Story:
Sure Karwa chauth, Neetu Kapoor remembered Rishi Kapoor with this post. “Karwa Chauth with her family. I miss you Kapoor Sahab.” She shared a Kapoor family photo from Karwa chauth appointment this year, with Riddhima, Kareena Kapoor, Nitasha Nanda, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain and his wife Anissa Malhotra, and Rima and Manoj Jain. Riddhima, her missing father, dropped a red heart on her mother’s message.
Neetu Kapoor also missed Rishi Kapoor’s presence as she started a new business – upcoming movie Jugg Jeeyo jug. She co-starred with Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the film, whose team flew from Mumbai just before Diwali. “While Kapoor Sahab you are not here holding my hand, I know you are with me … #RnR thank you for encouraging me to do this,” Neetu wrote in a message.
After Rishi Kapoor’s death, Delhi-based jewelry designer Riddhima spent months with her mother in Mumbai. Riddhima recently flew to Delhi while Neetu Kapoor started working on Jugg Jeeyo jug.
