Citing the Pakistani minister’s admission that his country was behind the 2019 Pulwama attack, BJP President JP Nadda said on Friday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the country for his
stand on the vile attack.
In a sensational admission, Pakistani senior minister Fawad Chaudhry admitted on Thursday that his country was responsible for the Pulwama terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 that killed 40 CRPF members and brought the two countries to the brink of collapse. war.
Addressing a campaign rally here, Mr Nadda said on Friday: “What should I say about the Congress party and Rahul babu. They became defenders of Pakistan (Vakil). Pakistani Minister Fawad Chaudhry said yesterday that “we did the Pulwama, Imran Khan did the Pulwama. Their minister says so in a response to their National Assembly.”
He said that Rahul Gandhi “used to say that Pakistan was not involved and that we (the ruling party) are talking about Pakistan just to deceive people”.
“You should apologize to the country,” Nadda told the former congressman.
He also attacked Gandhi for his statements on the repeal of Article 370, alleging that Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan used his remarks to defend his country’s case at the United Nations.
“Are you speaking for India or Pakistan?” Mr. Nadda asked Mr. Gandhi.
