London:

British Prince Harry took offense at what he thought was Prince William’s ‘snobbery’ when he advised his brother to ‘take as much time as needed to get to know this girl’ when he was dating Meghan Markle, says a new book.

Harry and his wife, Meghan, distanced themselves from the book titled ‘Finding Freedom’, saying they had not been interviewed for and had not contributed to the biography serially published by The Times and The Sunday Times. .

The book documents, citing sources, a time when Harry and Meghan were dating and William wanted to make sure the American actress had the right intentions, the Sunday Times said.

“Don’t feel like you have to rush,” William told Harry, according to sources cited by the book. “Take all the time you need to get to know this girl.”

The Sunday Times reported that Harry had heard a tone of snobbery in the last two words, “that girl,” and that Harry no longer felt he needed to care.

The couple and their son Archie now live in Los Angeles after stepping down from royal duties in March to build a new career. In January, they announced their intention to lead a more independent life and finance it themselves.

Harry and Meghan tied the knot in May 2018 in a wedding heralded at the time as infusing an explosion of Hollywood glamor and modernity into the British monarchy and which made it one of the greatest celebrity couples in the world.
