New Delhi:
It’s not just us Indians who are thirsty for the famous Asian snacksamosa, a fried pocket filled with potatoes, onions and other ingredients, in the middle of the lock in progress. Even Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has taken the plunge by taking matters into his own hands and making delicacies from scratch at home, as food joints in many countries are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Calling them “ScoMosas”, Mr. Morrison shared photos of home cooking Samosas on his social networks and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi before their video conference on June 4, saying he would have liked to share the popular snack with his Indian counterpart.
“ScoMosas Sunday with mango chutney, all made from scratch – including chutney,” he wrote on Twitter and Instagram.
Prime Minister Modi was quick to respond and said on Twitter: “Connected by the Indian Ocean, united by the Indian Samosa!”
Connected by the Indian Ocean, united by the Indian Samosa!
It looks delicious, PM @ScottMorrisonMP!
Once we have won a decisive victory against COVID-19, we will enjoy the Samosas together.
