On Sunday, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of states such as Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to Twitter, the Vice President extended his greetings and warm wishes to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Kerala, and the territories of the Union of Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry in their days of formation.
“These states and Union Territories represent India’s rich cultural and geographic diversity,” said Naidu.
“They have enriched the nation with their natural and human resources. I wish the people of these states and UT a happy, healthy and prosperous future,” he said.
Prime Minister Modi also made a series of tweets wishing residents of various states who mark their statehood or formation on Sunday.
“Greetings from Karnataka Rajyotsava to my sisters and brothers in Karnataka. Powered by the strength and skills of the people of the state, Karnataka reaches new heights of progress,” Prime Minister Modi said.
“I pray for the happiness and good health of the people of Karnataka,” he said.
Wishing the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said the state is all about hard work and compassion.
“The people belonging to AP have continued to excel in several fields. On the day of the formation of the AP, my greetings to the people of the state and best wishes for their development aspirations,” he said.
The Prime Minister also extended Kerala Piravi Day greetings to the people of Kerala, saying they have always made indelible contributions to India’s growth.
“Kerala’s natural beauty has made it one of the most popular destinations, attracting people from all over the world. Pray for Kerala’s continued progress,” he said.
The Prime Minister also sent his greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh on their statehood day.
“The state is making remarkable progress in key sectors and making a lasting contribution to the realization of our dream of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” he said.
While conveying his greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on the day of their statehood, Prime Minister Modi said he wished this region, which has been the center of various cultures since ancient times, to continue moving forward on the road to progress and prosperity.
Wishing the people of Haryana, the Prime Minister said that Haryana holds an important place in the history of India.
