The alleged Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Friday that he is now receiving intelligence information, and has been told that Russia continues to try to meddle in the November US elections.

China was also carrying out activities “designed to make us lose confidence in the outcome” of the 2020 elections, Biden told supporters during an online fundraiser for his campaign.

“We know it before, and I guarantee you that I know it now, because now I get briefings again.

The Russians are still trying to delegitimize our electoral process, “said Biden.

He warned that if Russia continued to interfere, there would be “a real price to pay” if it won the November elections against Republican President Donald Trump. It is not known when Biden started receiving intelligence briefings, which is normal for the main candidates for the party’s presidency.

His campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Biden said at a press conference on June 30 that he had not been offered a confidential briefing and “may very well” request one the day after news that Trump did not respond to information from the services that Russia paid bonuses to US troops in Afghanistan.

Former President Barack Obama’s vice president has criticized Trump for reports he would not read his intelligence notes. Several U.S. intelligence agencies have discovered that Russia acted to help Trump in the 2016 elections, an accusation that Russia denies and that Trump has repeatedly called a hoax.
