An unconditional Pakistani Taliban terrorist who was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of Canadian journalist Khadija Abdul Qahar known as Beverly Giesbrecht before his conversion to Islam has been killed, a senior official said on Wednesday. police official.
Ameen Shah, a senior terrorist in Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), was wanted in several terrorism cases, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police chief Sanaullah Abbasi.
He kidnapped Qahar, 55, in 2008 and killed her in Pakistan in 2010, he said.
The Taliban demanded two million dollars in ransom and the release of some of their leaders detained for his release.
Shah was killed in an exchange of fire with Bannu district police after refusing to surrender, said Abbasi.
