On Wednesday, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan celebrated 47 years of marriage. His Abhishek Bachchan shared a return photo of Big B and Jaya on his Instagram profile and wrote an adorable birthday wish for his “mom and dad”. In the photo, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya can be seen making eye contact. Dressed in ethnic attire, Jaya is still just as gorgeous. Sharing the picture, Abhishek wrote: “Happy birthday, Ma and Pa. Big B and Jaya Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s daughter also shared a monochrome photo of her parents and wrote a birthday wish for them. In the photo, Big B can be seen laughing from his heart while Jaya can be seen watching him. Sharing the picture, Shweta wrote “Happy Birthday” and dropped a heart emoticon.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan met on the sets of the 1971 film Guddi and got married almost a month later Zanjeer released in May 1973. They welcomed their daughter Shweta in 1974 and their son Abhishek in 1976.
Jaya Bachchan was among the best actresses of cultures in the 70s and she is best known for her performances in films such as Guddi, Abhimaan, Zanjeer, Mili and Uphaar among others. Jaya Bachchan took an indefinite sabbatical year after the birth of Shweta and Abhishek. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the 2019 police thriller Badla with Taapsee Pannu. It will then be seen in Jhund, Chehre, Gulabo Sitabo and Brahmastra.
