Patna (Bihar):
Taking a look at the opposition in Bihar, Lok Janshakti (LJP) party leader Chirag Paswan said on Thursday that questions raised by Congress and the Grand Alliance over the electronic voting machine (EVM ) showed that they had accepted their defeat in the polls of the Bihar Assembly. and called it a good sign for BJP-LJP.
Mr. Paswan’s remark came in response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s comment that “EVM is not EVM, but MVM – Modi Voting Machine”.
“Anytime Congress and the Mahagathbandan raise questions about EVM, it is a good sign that they have accepted defeat. They never questioned the EVM when they formed the government and never discussed it in the Vidhan Sabha. This is a good sign for the BJP-LJP as the opposition has accepted defeat and is now looking for an apology, ”he told ANI.
The Lok Janshakti party fielded candidates in more than 130 constituencies, mainly against Janata Dal (United) in the election of 243 members of the Bihar Assembly.
Mr. Paswan said his party will form government with the BJP after the elections.
