Jaipur:
With 720 out of 720 marks, 18-year-old Soyeb Aftab hit the mark on this year’s NEET exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses.
From Rourkela to Odisha, Soyeb wants to become a cardiac surgeon at the end of his medical studies.
Giving the exam amid the coronavirus pandemic has come under pressure, Soyeb said, but he used the lockdown to study even harder.
While most of Kota’s students demanded to return home during the lockdown, Soyeb stayed with his mother and sister to keep his nose on the grindstone and continue his coaching classes at the Allen Career Institute in Kota, have his parents said.
And it certainly paid off, as Soyeb Aftab managed to get the perfect score – a first record in the country.
