Filmmaker Onir has denied appearing in upcoming reality TV season Great leader, tweeting that he had “no idea” in response to a press report listing him as one of the candidates. the Exclusive to IB Times quotes a source as having revealed that the eight candidates would have participated in Bigg Boss 14 Later this year. Responding to actress Swara Bhasker saying she would like to see him on Great leader, Onir tweeted back that he would be the “perfect fit” and “the ultimate underdog.” Swara was recently embroiled in a controversy after her Tanu Weds Manu Co-star Kangana Ranaut called her and Taapsee Pannu “needy underdogs” and more in a TV interview.

Onir’s denial prompted singer Sona Mohapatra to reveal that last year she was asked to appear on Bigg Boss as “the enemy of their boss” – i.e. host Salman Khan – and that she didn’t have to be on “TV” tamasha to be so. She also added a shout out to Kangana for allegedly rejecting Salman Sultan’s film. Sona Mohapatra has been a vocal criticism of Salman Khan’s comments and behavior, especially towards his female colleagues and other women. .
