Bihar Assembly Election 2020: “Everyone belongs to this country, everyone is Indian,” he said.

New Delhi:

The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, publicly denounced Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday for his comments on “the expulsion of the infiltrators”.

“Who’s doing all this malicious campaign? Who’s saying it all faltu baat (absurdity)? Who will throw the people out? Nobody dares to do that. Everyone belongs to this country, everyone is Indian, ”the chief minister of Bihar said at a public meeting.

Although Mr Kumar did not name anyone in his speech, he was widely seen as a retort to his counterpart in Uttar Pradesh, who spoke about the new law allowing Indian citizenship to non-Muslim minorities in Pakistan, from Bangladesh and neighboring Afghanistan though they fled religious persecution and entered India before 2015.

Meanwhile, the voting percentage in the second round of the ballot out of 94 seats in the Bihar assembly elections fell from 54.64 to 55.70 after the figures were updated by the Election Commission on Wednesday.
