Goan police have filed a complaint against model actor Milind Soman for allegedly “promoting obscenity” after he recently posted a photo of himself running naked on a beach in Goa to mark his birthday, a police official said today.
The case was registered on Friday by Milind Soman, a day after Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM), a political organization, filed a complaint in this regard, he said.
Milind Soman had shared her photo on her Instagram profile, which showed him running naked on a beach on his 55th birthday.
“Milind Soman was listed under Article 294 of IPC (Obscene Act in Public Place) and Article 67 of the Information and Technology Act after Goa Suraksha Manch’s complaint”, Police Commissioner (South Goa) Pankaj Kumar Singh said.
In her Instagram post, Milind Soman gave the photo credit to his wife Ankita Konwar.
The Goa Suraksha Manch political group, in its complaint, alleged that the model had engaged in “obscenity in a public place”. He also said the image projected Goa in a bad way.
Police arrested actor-model Poonam Pandey and her husband on Thursday for allegedly breaking into government property and filming “objectionable” video at a roadblock in the town of Canacona in south Goa.
