New Delhi:

Writer and former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama has launched a new #VotingSquad online challenge to get more people to vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

Obama took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and issued the challenge by urging people to “text three people” who might not vote and ask them to vote.

“Getting our friends and family to have a voting plan will make all the difference in this election. So here’s my challenge: text three people in your life today who might not vote and ask- them to join your #VotingSquad and make a plan to vote together, ”she wrote in the caption.

She added that she also tagged some of her friends to ask them to vote.

The author of “ Becoming ” also urged people to share a photo with their team challenging three friends to share their voting plan.

“I tagged a few people who I challenge to create their #VotingSquad. I want to see your team! Post a photo with your team and challenge three friends to share their voting plan, ”she wrote.

Michelle asked people to join the initiative at “weall.vote/votingsquad”.
