Directed by Ram Madhvani, Aarya is based on the Dutch drama series Penoza. Sushmita Sen plays the lead role in the series, Aarya Sareen, who takes over her family’s pharmaceutical business, the opium plantation and the drug warehouse after the death of her husband.
Co-produced by Ram Madhvani and Endemol Shine India, Aarya open to lukewarm critics of film critics after its release on Hotstar on June 19.
