Vadodara:
A man has been arrested for allegedly raping three girls in Vadodara, Gujarat, police said.
The incident came to light when one of the girls started crying during a sexual harassment class and told her teacher about the assault.
Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) Lakhdheersinh Zala said: “The incident came about when one of the girls told her teacher about her ordeal while receiving lessons on ‘good contact, bad contact’.”
Police were informed and the accused, identified as Rajnikant Mahto, was arrested. He confessed to having committed the crime against two other girls as well. said the police.
The man used to lure girls into his home by offering them candies and chocolates, police said.
“The man would call girls at his house under the pretext of giving them chocolates and sexually assaulting them,” added the official.
Police have opened an investigation into the case.
