Maharashtra Deputy Minister Ajit Pawar has asked COVID-19 analytical laboratories to submit the results of the swab tests to hospitals within one day.

He gave instructions at a meeting to review the situation of the coronaviruses.

“We are testing a large number of samples. However, we must increase the number of samples and the results must be communicated to hospitals the next day for early diagnosis and treatment of patients,” he said.

He also ordered officials to strictly enforce the restrictions in the COVID-19 containment areas.

Mr. Pawar also went to the Pune police station to review his work during the pandemic.

He appreciated the police service for its humanitarian work during the coronavirus epidemic.
