R Madhavan, who starred in Rehnaa Hai Land Dil Mein almost two decades ago, gave an epic response to a fan who was curious about one of the film’s locations on Thursday. The actor and the hit of Dia Mirza Rehnaa Hai Land Dil Mein ended 19 years earlier this month and a few days later a fan asked the actor about a location, mentioned as being in Mumbai in the film, that he had been looking for for several years. He shared a scene from the film where Maddy (Madhavan) takes Reena (Dia Mirza) to her “favorite place” in Mumbai, a coast with a fascinating view, and indirectly confesses his love for her.
Sharing the stage, the fan asked, “Brother, it’s been 19 years since Rehnaa Hai Land Dil Mein release and we celebrate it but from that time till now i am looking for this place in mumbai. When you said it’s in Mumbai in that scene. Please let me know where it is. “
Reacting to his tweet, R Madhavan revealed that the location with a breathtaking view is not Mumbai but Johannesburg, South Africa. “It’s in South Africa my brother. Honestly… Johannesburg. Honestly,” he replied.

Rehnaa Hai Land Dil Mein, released on October 19, 2001. It marked Madhavan’s first Bollywood film. He starred opposite Dia Mirza in the film which also starred actor Saif Ali Khan in a central role.
Rehnaa Hai Land Dil Mein is the remake of the Tamil movie Minnale – both films were directed by Gautham Menon. The film did average box office sales but has gained cult status over the years.
