German airline Lufthansa said Thursday it will cut 22,000 full-time jobs as the recovery in travel demand following the coronavirus pandemic will be reduced.
“The recovery in demand in the airline industry will be slow for the foreseeable future,” said the airline.
He said the group would operate around 100 fewer aircraft after the crisis.
This will result in “a total of 22,000 fewer full-time jobs in the Lufthansa group, half of which in Germany”.
