The trailer of penguin will give you goosebumps. Not really. With Keerthy Suresh, penguin seems like a captivating thriller, telling the story of a pregnant mother, who desperately seeks to save his son from his kidnapper. The teaser of penguin, released last week, gave us a taste of what to expect from the film and the trailer details each scene featured in the teaser. the penguin the trailer begins with an adorable moment starring Keerthy Suresh and his son on screen. But a plot later, Keerthy’s son can be seen walking away with a mysterious man, after which the police tell Keerthy that his son may have died.
Convinced that his son is alive, Keerthy follows his heart and crosses paths with the kidnapper, who seems to be the titular “penguin”. The kidnapper has been described as a “brutal monster” in the caravan – dressed in black, the kidnapper wears a Charlie Chaplin mask and carries a yellow umbrella at all times.
In the last scenes of penguin trailer, the kidnapper appears in a bloody scene, in which the character can be seen holding a butcher knife while an apron stained with blood is hung on the wall of his cradle. The trailer ends on a note hanging from a cliff when Keerthy Suresh opens the door with the “penguin” inside. Produced by Karthik Subburaj, penguin marks the start of directing for Eshavar Karthic, who also wrote the film.

penguin was originally slated for a theatrical release, but due to the lockdown, the film will now be released on the OTT Amazon Video platform on June 19. penguin will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
