Kamala Harris, Democratic Indian-American running mate, said President Donald Trump and his campaign would “engage in lies” and “dirty tactics” to distract from the real issues affecting the people American.
She was responding to US President Trump’s promotion of conspiracy theories about her eligibility to be vice president and president.
On Saturday Donald Trump said he would not “pursue” questions about Kamala Harris’s eligibility, but did not dismiss the conspiracy theories as bogus.
Donald Trump said Thursday he heard on “social media” that Kamala Harris could be ineligible. “I heard today that she did not qualify,” he said, referring to John Eastman, the lawyer and Chapman University professor who raised the issue in a Newsweek editorial as “very highly qualified”.
Ms Harris, 55, told US news site TheGrio on Sunday that the president and his campaign would be engaging in deception.
