Shivraj Singh Chouhan accused Kamal Nath of turning the state into a “center of corruption”

Bhopal:

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday accused his predecessor Kamal Nath of having turned the state into a “center of corruption and middlemen”.

“He (Kamal Nath) has made the whole state a center of corruption and middlemen. No work was done without corruption of officials. Chouhan told ANI.

He also accused the previous Congressional government in the state of canceling several projects, which had been introduced by the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government before.

“I had to pay part of the money from the agricultural loan waiver. He did not pay unemployment benefit, reduced the payment of Aanganwadi workers by Rs 1,500. He stopped all my previous projects, including the Sambal program, the fee system and the laptop system, “Mr. Chauhan says.

“They did not pay the money for the Kanyadaan project. Last year, the harvest of several farmers was ruined. They did not even pay compensation for it,” he added.

Mr. Chauhan also accused Kamal Nath and the Congress Party of deceiving farmers over farm laws. “The three agricultural laws are in the interest of farmers and will double their incomes in the times to come,” he said.

Kamal Nath had recently pledged to ensure that agricultural laws, recently passed by parliament, would not be enforced in Madhya Pradesh if he is returned to power.
