New Delhi:
In a meteoric attack on Congress, BJP Chairman Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday accused the rival party of aiding Pakistan by opposing measures like the repeal of Article 370 and
demanding its restoration.
Addressing electoral rallies in the neighboring districts of Champaran West and Champaran East of Bihar, Mr. Nadda also lambasted Congress for forging an alliance in the state with the far-left CPI (ML) that he called it a “source of division” and part of the “tukde -tukde gang”.
Mr. Nadda recalled with horror the apprehensions expressed before the Supreme Court by Kapil Sibal, a top congressional leader and former Union Minister who was counsel for one of the parties in the Ayodhya lawsuit, “that if the matter were decided, it could favor the BJP electorally”.
“Despite these antics, people voted for BJP in Lok Sabha and the court gave a unanimous verdict in favor of a temple. Armed with the huge mandate you gave him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also suppressed the article 370, “he said. .
The president of the BJP alleged that Pakistan had challenged this decision before the UN Security Council, “basing its arguments on the statements of Rahul Gandhi”.
He also attacked former Home Secretary P Chidambaram for speaking out in favor of restoring the special status once enjoyed by Kashmir and questioning the “patriotism” of Mr. Gandhi and his party colleague. Shashi Tharoor, both accused of “praising Pakistan’s handling of COVID. -19”.
