John Abraham and director Milap Zaveri resume work on Satyameva Jayate 2

After the government of Maharashtra gave Bollywood the green light to resume filming after the coronavirus lockdown, the makers of Satyameva Jayate 2 started working on the film from Tuesday. Satyameva Jayate 2, with John Abraham in the lead role, is the follow-up to his 2018 hit Satyamev Jayate. The film is one of the first projects to be screened after the break. Announcing the good news on social networks, director Milap Zaveri shared two photos of himself and John Abraham and wrote: “Reunited with my Hulk, my hero, my ram, my John Abraham after 3 months! Satyameva Jayate 2 on my way!”

Satyameva Jayate 2 will be the second film by John Abraham to resume filming after obtaining the approval of Maharashtra, as well as of the Telangana government. His gangster-thriller Mumbai Saga will resume filming 12 days in Hyderabad next month, reported Mumbai Mirror. Director Sanjay Gupta told the publication that the cast, which also includes Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty, agreed to return to work after the lockdown.

Satyameva Jayate 2 will go upstairs after John Abraham has finished filming Mumbai Saga in July. In an interview with The Indian Express, Milap Zaveri said, “We plan to roll as soon as possible. The moment John finishes his Mumbai Saga shooting next month, we start immediately after. And the team is ready to take all precautions and follow all the rules. “
