New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has plans in place for her wedding, but has yet to set a date.
“We have plans – they’re far away,” she told New Plymouth City reporters on Wednesday in response to a question. “We may need to share some of our plans with our family and friends before we do it more widely.”
Ardern, 40, is engaged to TV host Clarke Gayford, 44, and they have a two-year-old daughter. Last month she led her Labor Party to a landslide general election victory, cementing her second term.
Ardern has been hailed around the world for its decisive response to COVID-19 and the nation’s healing after a massacre of Muslims by a white supremacist last year.
