In addition to releasing on an OTT platform, Khaali Peeli, starring Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday, will also be released in drive-ins in Gurugram and Bengaluru, Bollywood business analyst Taran Adarsh reported Wednesday evening. Taran Adarsh announced on Twitter and wrote: “Going out to drive-ins … Khaali Peeli – starring Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday – to be released in drive-in theaters in Gurugram and Bengaluru … The film will premiere simultaneously on ZeePlex on October 2, 2020. “The film was directed by Maqbool Khan and it features Jaideep Ahlawat as the antagonist.

Meanwhile, Khaali Peeli, which is slated for release on October 2, will air on the OTT ZeePlex platform. The film features the journey of a taxi driver named Blackie (Ishaan Khatter), who is released from prison after serving a sentence for “committing a half-murder” and a dancer (Ananya Panday), who is runs away after stealing money, They meet at Blackie’s cab. Khaali Peeli marks the first collaborative project of Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday. The film was produced jointly by Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar, Zee Studios and Himanshu Mehra. Khaali Peeli Producer Ali Abbas Zafar, in a statement, described the film as “a complete desi artist.” He added: “The energy chemistry of Ishaan and Ananya and that of Jaideep (actor Jaideep Ahlawat, Raazi and Wasseypur Gangs) credibility makes this ride cooler and more edgy. “
