New Delhi:
Interior designer Sussanne Khan gave Architectural Digest India a virtual tour of her home in Mumbai and by sharing the video on Instagram, she also opened the doors to her ‘nest’ (what she likes to call her home) to his Instafam. Needless to say, Sussanne Khan’s 15th-floor apartment in Juhu offers stunning views of the Mumbai skyline and soothing green scenery, which can be best enjoyed from a glass balcony. “The concept I had in mind was to bring a small ski chalet. The ambiance that would bring the warmth of a ski chalet and have it with the diverse atmosphere of being in Mumbai,” said Sussanne in the video for Architectural Digest.
Sussanne also gave a tour of her spacious living room, huge kitchen, which is the “best room” in the house, and her dining room, among other parts of the house, which she says “has been converted into a large office” during the lockdown and she is not in the mood to go back. Sussanne also introduced us to her “family sanctuary”, her “cabinet of curiosities” and her work of art inspired by “Space Girl”. Sussanne shared the video with these words: “Here I welcome you all, to visit my nest …” Labor of love “that I created.”
Sussanne’s close friend Malaika Arora summed up the look and feel of her house and said: “Your house is beautiful.”
When the lockdown began, Sussanne Khan had temporarily moved to her ex-husband Hrithik Roshan’s bungalow in Juhu so that their children – Hridhaan and Hrehaan – could be with both parents. In an Instagram video once, Hrithik revealed that Sussanne was busy scrutinizing his house for “design irregularities.” Sussanne had also shared glimpses of her temporary work desk at Hrithik. Sussanne Khan is an interior designer and co-founder of the fashion label The Label Life.
