Coronavirus cases in India: The number of active cases remained below 6 lakh for the tenth consecutive day.

The number of COVID-19 cases in India topped 85 lakh, while the number of people who have recovered from the disease soared to 78.68,968, pushing the national recovery rate to 92.49%, data shows from the Union Health Ministry updates Sunday.

The total number of coronavirus cases climbed to 85,07,754 with 45,674 infections reported in one day, while deaths climbed to 1,26,121 with 559 new deaths, data updated as of 8 a.m. The case fatality rate is 1.48%.

The number of active COVID-19 cases remained below 6 lakh for the tenth consecutive day. There are 5.12665 ​​active cases of coronavirus infection in the country to date, representing 6.03% of the total number of cases, according to the data.

According to the ICMR, a cumulative total of 11,77,36,791 samples were tested through November 7 with 11,94,487 samples tested on Saturday. The 559 new deaths include 150 in Maharashtra, 79 in Delhi, 58 in West Bengal, 28 in Kerala, 25 in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and 22 in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.

UP reports 2,247 new coronavirus cases, 26 deaths

Uttar Pradesh on Sunday reported 2,247 new COVID-19 cases and 26 deaths, state government data showed.

1,858 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,67,108.

Currently, active cases in the state stand at 23,249 and the death toll at 7,206.

Coronavirus: Sikkim reports 50 new cases of COVID-19, 2 deaths

Sikkim’s COVID-19 tally climbed to 4,245 as 50 more people tested positive for the infection while two more deaths brought the death toll to 78, an official said on Sunday.

Sonam Bhutia, member of the State Information Education Communication (IEC), said East Sikkim had reported 40 cases, South Sikkim (9) and West Sikkim (1).

He said the state currently has 273 active cases of COVID-19, while 3,810 patients have recovered from the disease and 84 others have migrated to other states.

A total of 58,173 samples have been tested so far in the state, including 210 samples in the past 24 hours, Bhutia added.
