Coronavirus cases in India: The number of COVID-19 cases in India has increased.

New Delhi:

India recorded the highest single-day jump of 11,458 cases of fresh coronavirus, bringing the total to 3,088,993, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health. India has the fourth highest number of coronavirus cases among the 10 countries most affected by coronavirus.

The government added loss of smell or taste to the list of COVID-19 symptoms on Saturday.

The Union Department of Health has listed muscle pain, diarrhea, congested nasal cavity, sputum production as COVID-19 symptoms, in addition to fever, cough, fatigue, aches throat and shortness of breath.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with ministers and officials on Saturday to discuss the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government said in a statement. They discussed the situation in States and Union territories, including Delhi, where cases of coronavirus have increased.
