All active cases now represent nearly 13% of the total number of cases (case)
India recorded 70,496 new coronavirus cases and 964 deaths on Friday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 69 lakh, according to data from the Ministry of Health. As of Friday, 78,365 people were able to fight off the viral disease, reducing the total number of active cases to almost 13% of the total number of cases.
According to government figures, the total number of Covid cases in India now stands at 69,06,151, including 8.93,592 active cases, 59,06,069 recoveries and 1.06,490 deaths in total. India’s cure rate edged up to 85.5%, while the death rate held steady at 1.5%.
