India has granted medical assistance worth about $ 1 million to North Korea in response to a request received from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Foreign Ministry said on Friday. (MEA).
“India is sensitive to the shortage of medical supplies in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and has decided to provide humanitarian aid of US $ 1 million in the form of anti-tuberculosis drugs,” MEA said.
The medical assistance is placed under the auspices of a WHO anti-tuberculosis program in the DPRK, the ministry added.
