Jaipur:
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was named with rebel congressman Bhanwar Lal Sharma in a first information report (FIR) on allegations of conspiracy against the congressional government in Rajasthan. Congress said today that investigations have revealed that rebel lawmakers are plotting with the BJP against the Ashok Gehlot government.
Congress also suspended Bhanwar Lal Sharma and another rebel MP, Vishvendra Singh, claiming to have audio evidence that they were involved in the signing of an agreement to dislodge the party government with arms crossed with the BJP.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said two audio recordings surfaced in which Bhanwar Lal Sharma was heard during discussions with BJP leaders. The party claims that one of the votes belongs to Mr. Shekhawat, a senior leader of the BJP in Rajasthan and minister of the Union for “Jal Shakti”.
The audio cassettes circulated online but the Congress did not read them during his press conference; Mr. Surjewala read what he called transcripts of the conversations.

“Yesterday shocking tapes were broadcast in the media in which Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, BJP chief Sanjay Jain and Congressman Bhanwar Lal Sharma spoke of bribing members of parliament and toppling the government of Rajasthan. Congress has suspended Bhanwar Lal Sharma and Vishvendra Singh from the party’s senior member. The party has also sent them justification notices, “said Surjewala.
Sharma has denied the allegations. When the audio cassettes surfaced on Thursday, he called them fake and said it was not his voice.
Congress has requested that the allegations be investigated by the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group, which reports to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Gehlot ordered an investigation into Rajya Sabha’s three-seat election last month when he accused the BJP of plotting with congressional rebels to destabilize its government. Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot then avoided talking about such a plan, saying that Congress would not have won two of the three seats if it were true.
The simmering quarrel between the chief minister and his assistant exploded when Sachin Pilot received a summons to answer questions about the alleged plot. Mr. Gehlot tried to cover up the sugar coup by claiming that he had also been summoned, but Mr. Pilot pointed out that, as chief minister, he only sent one as a sheet of paper. fig tree.
On Wednesday, Mr. Gehlot doubled the allegations against Mr. Pilot, whom he dismissed as his deputy. “We have proof that the horse trade has been committed. Rs 20 crore has been offered … Our chief deputy minister did the job himself and made statements that no horse trade was taking place What clarifications do you give when you were involved, “said Gehlot.
