With the aim of intensifying COVID-19 tests across the country, the ICMR validated the 1000th test laboratory on Tuesday, while the number of RT-PCR tests for the detection of the disease has passed the seven million mark .

Of these 1,000 COVID-19 analysis laboratories, 730 are in government structures and 270 laboratories are in the private sector.

According to the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 71,377,716 samples were analyzed until June 22. No less than 1,872,223 samples were analyzed on Monday alone.
