An Indian Air Force helicopter made a precautionary landing in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh this afternoon. The Air Force said the Dhruv helicopter made the landing as part of a routine training mission.
Footage showed air force officials and security officials around the Dhruv Advance light helicopter in the western district of Uttar Pradesh. Large numbers of people gathered around the open field to view the chopper.
“An Indian Air Force ALH Dhruv helicopter out of routine training made a precautionary landing in rural areas of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh,” ANI news agency said , quoted by the Indian news agency ANI.
The Indian Air Force is celebrating its 88th anniversary today when it presents its prowess and displays its traditional fighter jets. One of the highlights of this year is the new Rafale combat aircraft that will be presented.
A large investiture parade and ceremony took place at the Air Force station in Hindon, near Delhi.
