Masaan The actors shared their favorite memories of the film on their respective social media profiles as the film was filmed on Friday at age 5. Vicky Kaushal, who played the role of Deepak in the film, shared several BTS images of the film’s sets. No caption needed. Richa Chadha, who played the role of an independent girl and aptly named Devi Pathak in the film, shared a poster of the film on her Instagram Story. Shweta Tripathi, who played Vicky Kaushal’s lover Shaalu Gupta, shared photos from the film’s screening in Varanasi and accompanied her post with a detailed note.

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and written by Varun Grover, Masaan presented two stories, located in a crematorium that eventually converged. The film received critical acclaim and was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, also winning two awards.
