Shimla:
Taking on his own government, a senior Himachal Pradesh BJP official said on Thursday that elected officials were being overlooked in the state.
Jawalamukhi MP Ramesh Chand Dhawala made allegations against his own government in the state while speaking with reporters shortly after a meeting of Kangra BJP MPs with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
The quadruple member said that the work was not carried out in accordance with the wishes of the elected officials.
“If the deputies are not strengthened, how can you expect us to form a government in the future,” he added.
“The deputies must be strengthened and the work must be carried out in accordance with their,” he said.
Dhwala, a former Minister of State, said that Kangra MPs spoke at the meeting about the difficulties encountered in the organization (BJP).
Those without a base are preferred, he said.
Some people are adjusted in the state and others in the district organs (of the BJP), he said, adding that the deputies of Kangra had opposed it.
“I also said yesterday (at the BJP deputies’ meeting) that this should not happen,” he added.
The organization must do its own work, if someone is caught in the organization, that person must be taken with the consent of the member concerned, he added.
Workers continue to work day and night, if someone is forced on them from the top, resentment will be there, he said, adding that all of the Kangra MPs raised the issue at the meeting.
Disciplined party workers should be integrated into the organization, he added.
However, when asked, Minister of Industries Bikram Singh said that party problems would be raised at the party level.
To a question, he said that the meeting of Kangra’s deputies with the chief minister was necessary for better coordination.
Urban Development Minister Sarveen Choudhary said it was a healthy discussion where several issues were discussed.
