Anil Vij broke his left thigh bone while slipping into the bathroom.

Haryana’s interior minister, Anil Vij, broke his left thigh bone when he slipped into the bathroom of his residence in the canton of Ambala while taking a bath Tuesday.
Mr. Vij, who also holds the portfolios of health and local urban state agencies, was taken to a private hospital in the canton of Ambala, where a team of experienced doctors examined him.
Dr. Prabhakar Sharma, who spoke with the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said that an x-ray revealed that the fracture was significant and may require surgery.
Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma and civilian surgeon Dr. Kuldeep Singh also arrived at the hospital during questioning of the minister.
Subsequently, Mr. Vij, a six-time deputy from the canton of Ambala, was transferred to a private hospital near Chandigarh.
According to sources, after talking with people in the morning to meet him at his home, Mr. Vij went to the bathroom on the first floor of his house, where he slipped and fell while taking a bath.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
A number of BJP workers arrived at his home as soon as they learned of the incident.
It was the second such incident in the recent past.
A few months ago, Mr. Vij had slipped into the bathroom while taking a bath and had minor injuries to his chest.
