Haryana’s Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said the state government had decided to grant an exemption from electricity rights for 20 years under “Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy -2020” (HEEP ) to attract more industries to the state.
Previously, this exemption was only applicable for 10 years, he added, according to an official statement. Apart from this, industries that will employ local youth will receive a subsidy of Rs 48,000 per employee per year for seven years, he added.
“Special measures are being taken to provide benefits to investors by providing them with a 100 percent investment subsidy instead of the state goods and services tax.” The state government has also planned to grant a special exemption in this policy to industries for the management of residues of rice straw and other crops, so that in addition to being self-sufficient in terms of electricity, the country and the state itself will be pollution-free. The HEEP project has been finalized and will soon be implemented in the state, ”Chautala said as saying.
Mr Chautala, who also holds the portfolio of the departments of industry and trade and labor and employment, said this while chairing a meeting on “Haryana companies and employment policy -2020” with the officials concerned.
