A terrorist was killed today during a meeting with security forces in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. The ANI news agency released a 21-second video of the dating site in the Chewa Ular district of Tral, in southern Kashmir, in which smoke can be seen rising near a building in the neighborhood in amid an exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists.

Security forces launched the anti-terrorist operation on Thursday. The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the search group, which retaliated.
The cordon was maintained throughout the night and in the early hours of Friday, a terrorist was killed, said the official.

The identity and the group membership of the terrorist are being verified.
