While shooting the film in Chandigarh, Shahid Kapoor suffered a lower lip injury. In January, the actor thanked his fans and supporters for their love and concern. “Thanks for all the worry. Yes, I have a few stitches but I’m recovering quickly. Jersey took some of my blood but such a good script deserves it the least. Good luck to everyone. Keep your feet on the ground. Make it count. Spread love. Humanity above all, ”Shahid Kapoor tweeted.

Jersey is based on a cricketer, who returns to play cricket in his thirties, joining the Indian cricket team. It is a remake of a 2019 Telugu movie of the same name. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri (who also helmed the original), the film was scheduled for release on August 28. However, it has been moved due to the coronavirus pandemic. The revised release date has not yet been announced.
